I miss the internet

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to the RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Well the move went well, my wife and I have arrived in Oxfordshire with no major breakages, and starting to adapt to the English way of life.

What I want to know is why does it take so long to get ADSL installed? What are BT doing for those “7 to 10 working days”?

Anyway, if you’re ever looking for wireless in Abingdon, look no further than Cafe Gia’s. They also do good cups of tea.

The English way of life? You are remembering to drive on the same side of the road, aren’t you? ;)

    Honestly, everything’s different down here!

People smoke in the pubs, the tap water is almost undrinkable and stains everything it goes near, 24 hour shops close in the afternoon and nobody understands a word I say until I’ve repeated it really s-l-o-w-l-y.

I know - trying to get a four pack of Tennants at 4 o clock on a Sunday morning is a nightmare in this god for saken country. With regards fitting of an ADSL - i can assure you they arent as tardy when chasing you up for the bill!
